1. Infrared light deeply penetrates the skin and tissue
2. The mitochondria in the cell absorbs the infrared light photons
3. Once absorbed, the energy is stored as ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). ATP is a multifunctional energy source for cells.
4. The ATP is used to repair tissue, reduce pain and regenerate cell and tissue components.
